VisorApps has developed the new leselust Alexa skill for blista, the Federal Competence Centre for people with blindness and visual impairment. The skill allows readers of the blista library to access media through Amazon Echo devices or other smart speakers.

The leselust Alexa skill includes the following features:

  • Searching the blista catalogue for talking books and borrowing them.
  • Borrowing books from a list of suggested books.
  • Listing borrowed books.
  • Playing borrowed books.
  • Resuming playback of the most recently played talking book.
  • Synchronising of reading position with the leselust app on iOS or Android.

To access talking books through the leselust Alexa skill, you will need an Alexa device and the username and password you use to log in to the leselust app. If you require help to register or log in, please visit the support website, or call +49 6421 6060.
