Inclusion on View – Guide for Germany’s First Inclusive Travelling Exhibition

Commissioned by Sozialdenker e. V. (Social Thinkers registered association), we have created a new app for an exhibition called Inklusion im Blick. It will open at the Thuringian State Parliament in Erfurtt, Germany, on 10 December 2018. Relying on Bluetooth beacons installed at individual exhibits, our app will guide visitors who are blind or partially sighted through the exhibition. It can display a list of the exhibits closest to them and play an audio description of each item. To be even more inclusive, our app includes two videos in German Sign Language as well as an Easy-To-Read option.

The app is available for iOS and Android and can be downloaded for free from the App Store or the Play Store.

Over the next two years, the exhibition Inklusion im Blick will be on display at all German federal state parliaments as well as at the German Parliament. Our app will make the exhibition more accessible at all of these venues.
