Audio Guide Available for Germany’s Third Largest Exhibition for Contemporary Art

For the first time, OSTRALE, the International Exhibition for Contemporary Arts thanks to support of Aktion Mensch, is offering a special audio guide for visitors who are blind or partially sighted. Our app Allsense, developed by visorApps, is available at no charge on the App Store as well as on the Play Store. Through audio description, Allsense introduces visitors to a selection of 25 works representing a cross-section of the exhibits presented at OSTRALE. Small Bluetooth beacons have been installed at the exhibits as well as at other locations in the exhibition space, such as restaurants or lavatories. As users approach one of these locations, they will hear the audio description. Many of the exhibits may be touched by visitors who are blind or partially sighted, and the app will inform them where this is possible. In addition to the app, visual and tactile floor indicators support visitors who are blind or partially sighted to navigate the exhibition space, which measures about 25,000 square metres.
